Education
Mr. Malar received his undergraduate degree in History and Metropolitan Studies from New York University in 2009, and his Juris Doctor degree from the George Washington University Law School in 2013.

Mr. Malar is a member of the State Bars of California, New Jersey, and New York. He is admitted to practice in all United States District Courts in California and New Jersey, as well as the District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Dillon Malar

Associate

Dillon Malar is a senior associate with Andrues/Podberesky. He practices both state and federal criminal defense, as well as civil litigation.

Mr. Malar began his career as a fellow with the Essex County Office of the Public Defender in Newark, New Jersey, working on cases ranging from trespassing to murder charges. He then joined the boutique criminal defense firm of Baldassare & Mara, where he represented individuals in both state and federal criminal trials and appellate matters involving charges of political corruption, wire fraud, arms export control violations, health care fraud, insurance fraud, robbery, weapons possession and drug trafficking. After moving to Los Angeles, and before joining Andrues/Podberesky, he worked at Tauler Smith where he handled all stages of complex civil litigation in federal and state court.

While in law school, Mr. Malar participated in the GW Law Family Justice Litigation Clinic where he represented indigent individuals in family law proceedings in the District of Columbia Courts. He also interned with the New York Legal Aid Society in the family law and parole revocation defense units.

Mr. Malar has been named a Super Lawyers rising star in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
